Ad-Tech offers an extruded aluminum louver fixture to aid in the decoration of 6" changeable louver faces. The fixture is installed on a support structure (by others) to make an application wall or table. The louver fixtures are just under 6" in width. Changeable louvers are on 6" center spacing. The louver fixture must be installed with a 6" center-to-center spacing, taking care to maintain the correct spacing from top to bottom of the fixture.

Installation of Large Format Adhesive Vinyl Graphics

We lay out all of the louvers on the wall jig. Smaller 6' wide wall or table jigs can be used. The adhesive vinyl should be printed in a maximum width of 52" for ease of handling.

After laying up the faces on the jig, the faces must be properly cleaned.
1) Brush or wipe each face from top to bottom to remove dust.
2) Thoroughly wipe down aluminum faces with lacquer thinner. PVC faces may also need a light cleaning with thinner as well.

The printed image needs to be measured prior to application to insure proper fit. Different printers hold different tolerances on the image size regardless of what is specified. We apply the vinyl from the top down lining it up with the louver gap.

Then the backing is removed and the vinyl is applied to the louver face.

After the section is applied the gaps can be cut out. We cut both sides of the gap removing the excess vinyl.

Once the gaps are cut the louver faces can be removed from the wall, numbered and packaged.

Care should be taken with regards to packing and transporting the PVC faces. Faces are typically packaged ten to a bundle and wrapped with a wide section of plastic packing material. The faces cannot be bundled with rope or tape, or by any means that might cause a crease, bend or ridge in the PVC. Distorted faces should not be used. Distorted areas may be cut away to prevent rotation interference.
